Central Illinois is a hot bed for engineering activity. Central Illinois and its surrounding areas host operations for several companies including Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere, State Farm, Exelon Corp, and many others. In the Fall of 2008, several Caterpillar engineers saw that it was necessary to establish a NSBE presence in the Central Illinois region.
CI-NSBE is currently in its infancy and working to grow its membership. We not only want to grow our engineering membership, but our non-engineering membership as well.
As we continue to expand, we hope to establish a strong set of community initiatives, as well as a variety of programs to enrichour membership's professional skills and technical expertise.
